A-Z Sports Ground Construction

Building a sports ground is 80% engineering and 20% grass. We handle the entire infrastructure: Excavation, Laser Leveling, Deep Irrigation, and Scientific Soil Mixing for international-standard bounce.

More Than Just Grass Planting

🚜 Heavy Civil Work

We deploy JCBs, Rollers, and Tractors. We don't just scratch the surface; we engineer the Sub-Base to ensure your ground stays flat for 20 years.

💧 Hydraulic Engineering

Water stagnation kills sports turfs. We design and install complex sub-surface drainage grids and automated pop-up irrigation systems.

The 7-Step Engineering Process

How we build a ground from bare mud to match-ready turf.

  1. Site Survey & Topography

We use laser levels to map the slope of your land. This determines where the water will flow and how much soil we need to cut or fill.

  2. Rough Grading & Excavation

Using heavy machinery, we remove rocks, weeds, and unstable soil. We compact the base layer to create a rock-hard foundation.

  3. Drainage Installation

We dig trenches in a herringbone pattern and install perforated PVC pipes wrapped in geotextile. This ensures rain disappears instantly.

  4. Irrigation Network

We lay the underground pressure pipes for your sprinklers. We pressure-test them before adding soil to ensure zero leaks.

  5. "Sports Mix" Soil Layering

We don't use raw soil. We mix Red Soil (40%), River Sand (40%), and Organic Manure (20%). This specific ratio ensures "Cushioning" for players.

  6. Laser Leveling

The most critical step. We ensure the ground is perfectly flat with a gentle 1% slope towards the boundaries for runoff.

  7. Turfing (The Finish)

Finally, we plant the Bermuda Selection 1 grass mats and roll them to create the seamless green carpet.

Material Specification

The Surface: Bermuda Selection 1

A ground is only as good as its grass. We use our own farm-grown Bermuda Selection 1. It is chosen for its:

  • High Recovery Rate: Heals quickly after aggressive play.
  • Dense Rooting: Anchors deep into the soil to prevent divots.
  • Drought Resistance: Thrives in Bangalore's climate.

Specialized Sport Solutions

🏏 Cricket Grounds

The Pitch vs. The Outfield.

For the central pitch, we use high-clay content soil for bounce. For the outfield, we use high-sand content for rapid drainage and player speed.

⚽ Football Turfs

Traction & Durability.

We focus on root density. A football ground needs deep roots to survive studded boots. Our soil mix promotes deep root penetration (6-8 inches).

Project Spotlight

"Building a 2-acre school ground was a massive task. FM Landscaping didn't just supply grass; they brought the bulldozers, managed the levels, and fixed our drainage issues."

— Trustee, International School, Whitefield

"Our cricket outfield used to be uneven and risky for players. After their laser leveling and replanting, the ball roll is perfectly smooth."

— Sports Club Secretary, Jayanagar

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. We handle the entire process: Excavating the base, installing drainage layers, mixing the specialized clay/red soil for the pitch track, and turfing the outfield with Bermuda Selection 1.

Costs vary based on ground condition. A full football field involves grading, drainage pipes, soil enrichment, and grassing. Please contact us for a site survey and BOQ (Bill of Quantities).

Yes, we offer a "Turnkey" solution. We can install chain-link fencing (10ft to 20ft height) and set up pole floodlights for night matches as part of the total project.

For large grounds, we use JCBs for excavation, Bobcats for moving soil, and heavy Rollers (1-2 ton) for compaction and leveling.
